Cindy Martin

A lover of Laughter, Flowers and Rock music.

One of a kind

Cindy was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Born with a heart full of kindness and a laugh that could fill a room, she never met a stranger—only friends she hadn’t made yet. Cindy had a passion for gardening, filling her yard with the brightest flowers, and she never passed up the chance to dance, even if it was just in the kitchen while making her famous apple pie.

She Loved the Beatles

She adored classic rock, especially The Beatles, and was known for singing loudly (and off-key) during road trips with her family. Her grandchildren will always remember the magical bedtime stories she made up on the spot, featuring talking animals and adventures that somehow always ended with cookies.

Stories

One summer, Cindy decided she was going to master the art of fishing—even though she had never touched a fishing pole in her life. Armed with a brand-new tackle box, a sun hat three sizes too big, and an enthusiasm that could rival a pro, she set off to the lake with her family.
After an hour of no bites, Cindy got creative. She swapped out her bait for a chunk of the peanut butter sandwich she had packed for lunch, claiming, "If I love it, the fish will too!" To everyone’s shock, her line suddenly tugged, and she started reeling in what she swore was "a monster of a fish!"
Turns out, she had hooked not a fish, but her own sun hat, which had blown off and landed in the water. Without missing a beat, she held it up proudly and declared, "Well, at least I caught something!" From that day on, she called herself a "legendary fisherwoman"—and no one ever let her live it down.
